Health & Nutrition

Health & Nutrition is a key focus at Little Learners. We place a high emphasis on providing nutritious and balanced meals, only sourcing the freshest produce direct from market. All our meat, fish and poultry is Australian grown and sourced direct from our local & independent Butcher, which is Halal Certified. We provide A2 milk but also offer alternatives for those children with special dietary requirements.

Our chefs prepare all meals onsite in our Commercial Kitchen, which boasts state-of-the-art equipment, including a Rational Combi-Oven which ensures the highest cooking quality. We provide 5 meals per day (breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea & late snack) and cater for all dietary requirements and cultural preferences.

Little Learners is both a nut free and egg free centre. This is to ensure the safety of all children in our care. We have a number of children with allergies to foods, including nuts, eggs & dairy products. As a result, we have a strict “No Food from Home Policy”. This means that at no time is food or drinks allowed to be brought into the Centre from home.

Our menu is centred around encouraging a love of healthy & wholesome foods to help our children develop a foundation of good eating habits from a young age. Our children thoroughly enjoy being involved in maintaining our extensive veggie gardens – where they help sow, water and harvest the crops, which are then used in our kitchen menu.
