Meet our Centre Director (Truganina)  – Stephanie

“My name is Stephanie, and I am honoured to serve as the Centre Director at Little Learners Day Care Centre, Truganina. With 15 years of experience in the early childhood education industry, I have spent 8 years as an educator and Kindergarten teacher, and the past 7 years in leadership roles as a Centre Director.

Throughout my career, my vision has always been to lead with passion and dedication, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential. I am a firm believer in the power of diversity, as we play a pivotal role in shaping the way our children will interact with the world and with others in their future.

My qualifications include a Bachelor of Educational Studies, a Diploma in Children’s Services, a Post Graduate Certificate in Business Management, and a Certificate IV in Human Resources. With this diverse educational background, I approach leadership with an “all-rounder” mindset, balancing the management of the centre while also mentoring our team and providing strong support to our families.

I pride myself on maintaining an open-door policy, so please don’t hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or concerns. I look forward to working closely with you and your family as we create a nurturing and inspiring environment for our children.”

Meet our Kinder teacher (Truganina)  – Abby

“As a Kinder Teacher, my approach to early childhood development and teaching is centred around creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters curiosity and a love for learning. I believe in the importance of play based learning, where children can explore and discover at their own pace. By incorporating hands on activities and interactive experiences, I aim to support their cognitive, social and emotional growth. Additionally, I prioritize building strong relationships with each child, recognising their unique needs and interests, which helps them to create a sense of security and encourages them to express themselves freely. A key aspect of my pedagogy is strong engagement with families. I believe that collaboration between educators and families is essential for a child’s development.”

Meet our Kinder teacher (Truganina)  – Sarah

“As an Early Childhood Teacher, my personal philosophy is embedded in the belief that children are active participants in their own learning journey. Incorporating nature and outdoor play into my pedagogy is fundamental to my approach. Research shows that being in natural environments enhances children’s learning and well-being. Outdoor play encourages exploration, safe risk-taking, and connection to the world around them, which are crucial for their physical and emotional development. Additionally, I integrate the aspects of the Reggio Emilia approach, which encourages exploration and expression through art and creativity. This aligns with the learning outcomes that promote self-confidence, problem-solving, and emotional intelligence. Ultimately, my philosophy centres on creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that supports holistic development and prepares children for lifelong learning.”

Tarneit (Hoppers Crossing)

Meet our Centre Director (Tarneit)  – Tajvi

“As the Director of our service, with 14 years of professional experience, I am deeply committed to the transformative power of early childhood education as the foundation for lifelong learning. I firmly believe that children learn best through play, which nurtures their curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.

The environment plays a pivotal role in supporting children’s learning and development. I aim to create an aesthetically pleasing and thoughtfully designed space where children feel safe, secure, valued, and inspired to explore, engage in self-directed learning, and freely express their thoughts and emotions.

I value strong, collaborative relationships with families so that we foster a nurturing community where children thrive and their individuality is celebrated.”

Meet our Kinder Teacher (Tarneit)  – Ashlie

“As an Early Childhood Teacher, I firmly believe that children are independent, capable and confident learners. I view each child as a unique individual with their own strengths, interest and learning styles.

My passion for learning through play is at the heart of my teaching. I aim to create an environment where curiosity is nurtured, creativity is celebrated, and every child feels confident in expressing themselves. Play provides a natural platform for exploration and growth, and I encourage each child to engage in experiences that foster their cognitive, social, and emotional development. By creating a playful and nurturing atmosphere, I believe we lay the foundation for future success, helping children grow into confident, enthusiastic, and lifelong learners.”

Meet our Kinder Teacher (Tarneit)  – Simran

“As a Kinder Teacher, I believe that young children acquire knowledge most effectively through social interactions, play, and exploration. By engaging with their peers and the surrounding environment, children actively construct their understanding of the world, thereby building and refining their cognitive frameworks. My objective is to cultivate a nurturing and stimulating classroom atmosphere that encourages children to explore, inquire, and collaborate with one another. Through these interactions, they not only enhance their cognitive and communication skills but also experience emotional and social growth, which serves as a robust foundation for lifelong learning. My role is to guide and support them throughout this enriching journey of discovery and development.”
